Sibuyan Island.
Our home.

We envision ecologically sustainable and culturally sensitive resilient island communities.

About us

Rooted in Sibuyan since 2011.

Bayay Sibuyanon Inc. is an inter-generational convergence which aims to conserve, protect, rehabilitate and revive the ecological balance and culture of Sibuyan Island.

Registered in 2015, the organization was formed in 2011 by like-minded people who had been advocating sustainable development since 2005. It forms second liners and future leaders to sustain community service.

“Bayay” means home, and “Sibuyanon” is what we call an inhabitant of Sibuyan Island.

#CancelAltaiMPSA

We believe mining in Sibuyan Island is not sustainable and will greatly affect eco-tourism potentials and agriculture. Minerals extraction can reduce carbon sinks and increase biodiversity threats and community vulnerabilities.
