An inter-generational Sibuyanon organization working to protect ecological balance, cultural heritage and resilient island communities.
Bayay Sibuyanon Inc. is an inter-generational convergence which aims to conserve, protect, rehabilitate and revive ecological balance and culture of Sibuyan Island.
Registered in 2015, it was primarily formed in 2011 by like-minded people who had been advocating sustainable development since 2005. The organization forms second liners and future leaders to sustain its work and to inculcate in young people the spirit of community service.
Bayay means “home,” while Sibuyanon is what an inhabitant of Sibuyan Island is called.
